Our Story
A Lifetime in the Making
Proudly founded by the Mennie brothers, Calum and Joshua, we are a family business here at Mennie Electrical Services. Based in the North East of Scotland and we're here to up the standard in the electrical trade industry based on reliability, transparency, and professionalism.
Since we were young, we've always brought out the best in each other. Calum has been the one with a quiet patience and creativity, often found in his bedroom making intricate little contraptions and inventions. He would take things apart just to understand how they worked. He's meticulous, careful, and takes pride in every small detail.
Joshua has always been the driving force, the one who'd spark the next big idea, rally everyone together, and make sure we saw it through. He's passionate about turning ideas into reality and pushing the boundaries of what many consider to be possible.

Our slogan, "Mennie Hands Make Light Work", was born in a moment of... While Calum was installing a new light socket in our family home, our dad, watching on, came up with the phrase as the lights came back on for the first time as he proudly proclaimed in typical Dad joke fashion, “Look at that, eh, Mennie hands make lights work!”. It was a true light-bulb moment that’s stuck with us ever since.
